The interior of the mosque is where the real magic happens. The walls and ceiling are adorned with over 20,000 handmade blue tiles, which give the mosque its distinctive blue hue. The intricate ceramic tiles and paintings depict scenes from the Koran and depict flowers, trees, and other natural motifs. The mosque's interior is also home to a beautiful mihrab (prayer niche) and a large central dome that rises 43 meters above the floor.
